“Community Health Centers aren’t just clinics—we are bridges. Between despair and dignity. Between sickness and strength. Between being unseen and finally being heard. At HAPPI Health, we serve Madison County with clinical excellence and community soul—offering care to the uninsured, the underpaid, the overlooked. From well-child visits to mental health check-ins to rides for patients without transportation, we show up. Not just to treat symptoms, but to restore dignity and rewrite stories. National Health Center Week reminds us this is sacred work. And at HAPPI, we meet people where they are—with heart, every single day,” says Michelda Johnson, CEO of HAPPI Health.

What is National Health Center Week?

National Health Center Week 2025 takes place August 3-9 and is a national awareness event that highlights the essential role Community Health Centers (CHCs) play in improving public health and providing Americans with an equal opportunity for health. CHCs represent the nation’s largest primary care network, serving 32.5 million patients nationwide. This year’s NHCW celebration, launched by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), focuses on the theme: “America’s Health Centers Celebrating 60 Years of Improving our Nation’s Health.” CHCs across the country join the celebration through a host of scheduled events that include resource fairs, back-to-school drives, health screenings, and visits to CHCs by local, state, and national leaders.

Join us for a day of fun, wellness, and community spirit, and take the opportunity to explore the valuable services offered by your local health centers!
